Nangape is Yaya Diallo's classic 1980 traditional West African music album with African drumming, balafon and flute music reissued in 2002 on Onzou Records.
Dounoukan, recorded in 1995, features Yaya Diallo on Djeme, Dounouba, Tama, Vibraphon, Balafon, Bara, and Lead Vocals with several artists on Djembe, Congas, Flute, Dounouba, Tiekere and Backup Vocals.
Live at Club Soda presents Yaya Diallo's band Kanza bridging traditional West African music with Western instruments - saxophone, electric violin, bass and lead guitars and drumset - along with voice, traditional African drums and balafon. On some tracks the sound seems reminiscent of a swinging 1950's rock and roll feeling blended with the traditional rhythmic experience.
